Imagery
Images can often influence the purchase decision of a customer in product reviews. This imagery can be either emotive or epistemic. An epistemic response includes cognitive content only, while an emotional response includes physiological changes, evaluations, facial expressions, and evaluative appraisals. This topic has been addressed by psychologists in the past. However, it is seldom discussed how feelings affect product consumption.
The imagery used in product reviews should be original. Stock photos won't make your review stand out so be original! Remember: A picture speaks 1000 words!
Target audience
It is important to identify your target audience when writing a product review. Conducting audience research is necessary to do this. This includes researching your audience's age, gender, education level, geographic location, and other demographic information. It is also possible to look into the content they are reading or engaging in. Social media is an excellent source of information.
Identifying your audience is the first step in creating an effective review. While you can't predict exactly who your target audience is, you can determine some of their most common challenges and interests. This step is called "Audience Research" and it's a continuous process.
