Subaru Crosstrek 2021 Review

reviewer website

Subaru Crosstrek Sport 2021 is a compact SUV with a lot of practicality and safety. It's easy to drive. For those looking to go off-road the crossover offers plenty of features, such as an X-Mode control system and hill-descent feature that can get you out of tricky terrain.

Subaru has a rare ability to produce a small, light vehicle. Subaru's SUV is a simple, unassuming design that doesn't try to be anything more than what it is. This gives it an appealing and unique personality.

Its ruggedness is part of what makes the crossover so appealing to families who want to have an adventure. We took it on a short loop off-road in the desert. The AWD and X-Mode systems, as well as hill-descent and hill-assist control, proved very useful for the Crosstrek to navigate rough terrain.

Like any Subaru model, the Crosstrek 2021 is equipped with a number of safety features. These include a standard EyeSight driver assistance system which includes a forward-collision alert, automatic emergency braking, and lane-departure notification, as well as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistant, and lane-departure detection. It's a welcome addition, and we hope to see Subaru continue to offer it as a standard feature.

Powered by an upgraded 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, the Crosstrek sports 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. It's an improvement on the base model 2.0-liter, and this larger engine was welcomed.

The new engine is not much more powerful than its predecessor, but it reaches the powerband much faster. It doesn't provide a lot of acceleration, but it's strong enough to move the crossover quickly and easily through traffic, which is what we expect from a small SUV like this one.

Also, it's pretty efficient. Crosstrek's tank of gas can take it up to 100 miles, which is much better than other cars in its class.

lange product reviews

In the crossover there is plenty of room inside for passengers as well as cargo. The rear seats have generous legroom and headroom, measuring 39.8" in front and 43.12" in back. The seats, which are padded and have supportive bolstering, are also very comfortable.

There's also a small compartment under the lid of the center console and a pocket in front of the gearshift, but they're not as large as the glovebox. There's also a rear fold-down armrest, but that takes up a significant chunk of the space in the back.

Crosstrek's final feature is its standard 11.6 inch touchscreen which runs Starlink, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connections. It would have been nice to see a more costly touchscreen that could run a broader range of apps. However, it is the most affordable option to enjoy high-tech features with a small vehicle.
